Chief – Paramedic

Shawn Rayne was appointed Emergency Medical Services Chief Paramedic for Ada County in August of 2020. Shawn has 30 years of experience in the EMS field, with 19 years of leadership experience at Ada County Paramedics, including many years as a Deputy Director before taking a position with Boise Fire Department in early 2019 as their EMS Division Chief overseeing all EMS functions. Prior to his time with Ada County Paramedics, Shawn was a St. Alphonsus Life Flight Paramedic and a Medical Specialist in the United States Army.
Shawn has been actively involved in the local EMS community and in the field of emergency medicine throughout his career, having served as an instructor for the National EMS Management Association, a member of the State Emergency Medical Services Advisory Committee (EMSAC), a Tactical Medical Team Commander, Deputy Director of Training and Emergency Preparedness, Volunteer Rescue Diver, and a member of the Southwest Idaho Time Sensitive Emergency Committee, among other things. Shawn earned his Paramedic Certificate from the Volunteer State Community College in Gallatin, Tennessee.
In his spare time, Shawn enjoys spending time outdoors with his family camping, hunting, fishing, skiing, and riding horses.

Peder Ahearn

Deputy Chief-Paramedic

Peder Humlen-Ahearn has worked in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) since 1998, serving with Ada County Paramedics since 2001. In his current position as Deputy Chief-Paramedic, Peder oversees “Planning and Technology” focusing on strategic planning, system, and quality improvement. Peder served as a reserve patrol deputy at Ada County Sheriff’s Office for nearly fourteen years and studied counter-terrorism, emergency management, and international policing in the Middle East. Peder holds an AS in Paramedic Science from Keiser University in FL, a BAS in Public Safety Studies from Siena Heights University in MI, and a Masters degree in Public Safety Leadership and Administration (MPA) from Arizona State University. Peder is currently enrolled as a doctoral student at Liberty University studying public policy with an emphasis in social and foreign policy. In his time off, Peder spends time with his wife and three kids, doing home remodels, and camping.

John Blake New

Deputy Chief-Paramedic

John Blake has worked for Ada County Paramedics since 1999 and is our Deputy Chief of Operations.  In that role, John oversees the operational functions of the department and coordinates with the Operations Chiefs of our partner agencies to ensure seamless, efficient EMS service throughout the county.  John holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wyoming.  In his spare time, John enjoys rafting, fly fishing, fly tying, and camping.

Jeremy Schabot

Deputy Chief-Paramedic

Jeremy Schabot is our Deputy Director of Training and Safety. He has worked for Ada County Paramedics since 1997. Prior to beginning his EMS career, Jeremy attended Cornell University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree. Throughout his career, Jeremy has been heavily involved in education, serving as a paramedic instructor for Ada County Paramedics and Idaho State University as well as serving as a Field Training Officer. He has also served as a Field Captain and Battalion Chief. In his spare time, Jeremy enjoys spending time with his family in the outdoors, skiing, fly fishing, backpacking, camping, and relaxing.

Office Administrator

Stacy Winn has worked for Ada County Paramedics since 1999. Prior to her current position, Stacy worked for Ada County Paramedics’ billing office. Stacy now oversees all Ada County Paramedics’ programs and processes including, time management, new hires, travel coordination, budget management and allocation and she is also Secretary to the EMS Advisory Board. In her spare time, Stacy enjoys reading, working in her yard and traveling. Ada County Paramedic employees describe Stacy as “Organized, efficient, quick and someone you just want to be around.”

Billing Manager

Linda Rosenwinkel has worked for Ada County Paramedics since 2009. Prior to her current position, Linda worked for a small credit union. When she started with Ada County, Linda worked as a billing department collector before taking the position of billing manager. Linda currently manages the Ada County Paramedics’ billing office for Ada County Paramedics’ ambulance services and coordinates patient and insurance payments. Linda received her degree in English from Boise State University. In her spare time, she enjoys camping and reading classic literature. Ada County Paramedic employees describe Linda as “Fun, fair and easy to work for.”

Janny Wing 

Battalion Chief

Janny Wing has worked for Ada County Paramedics since 2006. Prior to beginning her EMS career, Janny worked as the Operations Manager at a local waterpark, managing and training lifeguard and operations staff. Throughout her career at Ada County Paramedics, Janny has served as a Field Training Officer and Field Captain and is currently a member of the Peer Support Team. In her current Battalion Chief position, Janny also oversees our Field Training Program for new EMTs and Paramedics in our department. In her spare time, Janny enjoys traveling, rafting, hiking, camping, snowshoeing, and anything else that gets her outside with her husband and 2 rescued dogs.

Linda Scopelliti

Battalion Chief- Paramedic

Linda Scopelliti joined Ada County Paramedics back in 1997 as a reserve, and was hired full time one year later.  She worked her way from a basic EMT to Paramedic before taking on several leadership roles within the department, including Field Training Officer and Captain.  In 2018 she was promoted to Battalion Chief.  She has also served on the HazMat team and is the Special Events Coordinator for Ada County Paramedics.  When not working, Linda enjoys fishing, hiking with her dogs, clay shooting, and travelling to new places around the world with her family.

Chris Ehrman

Chris Ehrman

Captain- Paramedic 

Chris Ehrman began his career with Ada County Paramedics in 2003. In that time, he has been a Reserve EMT, Advanced EMT, Paramedic, Field Training Officer, Training Captain, and Field Captain. Off duty, Chris enjoys hanging out with his three (3) hound dogs, gardening, woodworking, and refurbishing antique axes.

Keith Booth 

Captain- Paramedic  

Though a native to Idaho–born at St. Luke’s in Boise—Keith grew up in Seattle and then attended the University of Washington. The mountains and lifestyle offered here is what brought Keith back to Idaho. Keith says “I always knew that I was meant for public service, and I started my career as a law enforcement officer. Eventually, I switched to EMS and became a Paramedic, which has been a great profession for me. I truly appreciate the opportunity to help people in their time of need and I have been blessed to work alongside a tremendous group of people here at ACP.”

When he isn’t at work, Keith enjoys spending time with family, friends, and his dogs…and he still ventures into the mountains as frequently as possible.

Jake Oven

Battalion Chief – Paramedic

Jake Oven has worked for Ada County Paramedics since 2001. Prior to coming to Ada County, Jake worked for several other Emergency Medical Services (EMS) agencies. In his current position, Jake oversees field supervision and manages electronic medical records (ePCR). Ada County Paramedics employees describe Jake as “dedicated, honest, intelligent and well respected in his profession.”

Brandon Knuteson

Battalion Chief- Paramedic

Brandon Knuteson started at Ada County Paramedics as a reserve/volunteer in 2004 and was hired as a Paramedic in 2005. He was promoted to Battalion Chief in January of 2021.  Brandon has also served as a Field Captain and Field Training Officer. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in Exercise Science. Brandon is a certified swift water rescue technician and spends most of his free time on the river. He also enjoys camping, hiking and cooking.

Brandon LaRosa

Battalion Chief- Paramedic 

Brandon has been in EMS since 1994 and with Ada County since 2000. He has worked in numerous positions at ACP from a field medic and FTO, as well as Community Paramedic and is currently a Battalion Chief. Throughout his career at Ada County, Brandon has always strived to put people first and make sure work is enjoyable for his fellow EMS providers.

In his free time Brandon likes to hang out with his family, golf, bike, and travel as well as keeping his hobby farm running which includes: numerous projects, 3 big dogs, a few goats, +/- 20 chickens, 3 ducks, 2 boys, and several thousand bees.

Jamee Nowlin

Captain – Paramedic

Graduated Whitman College for undergraduate, and completed an Associates in Paramedicine from Colorado Mountain College 2010.  Served as a field paramedic in inner city Atlanta at Grady EMS prior to moving to Boise in 2013, and being hired at Ada County Paramedics.  Started as a field paramedic with ACP, promoted to FTO Lieutenant, then Field Captain in August 2022.

Robert Vander Stelt 

Captain- Paramedic 

Robert was born in Nampa, Idaho, and grew up on a dairy farm in Kuna, ID.  After starting college in southern California, Robert decided to move back to Boise and pursue a career in EMS.  Robert started in the department in 2004 as a reserve EMT.  He has spent time in the tech rescue team and many years as a field training officer.  Currently a Captain, Robert has enjoyed getting to know the amazing and generous people who work at Ada County Paramedics.

Currently living in Boise, ID, in his free time Robert enjoys spending time with his family, outdoor activities, and travelling.

Jeremiah Wickham

Captain- Paramedic

Jeremiah was born in Washington but grew up in the North End of Boise. He lived in Eugene for a couple of years and went to college there.  Jeremiah took advantage of the outdoors with white water rafting, skiing, and hiking, all of which he still enjoys. Jeremiah met his wife playing volleyball, who was at the time and still is an RN at SLRMC.

“I looked into EMS after needing a career change and my wife’s suggestion of fire-fighting. I decided EMT would be interesting and enjoyed the medical aspect of EMS. I became a Paramedic and have been with ACP since 2005. During that time I have had the pleasure of working with many wonderful people. Many are still here.”
